What’s a Tea Latte?

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1-2 tea bags (your choice of tea, e.g., black tea, green tea, or chai)
  • 1 cup of milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1-2 tablespoons of sweetener (sugar, honey, or syrup)
  • Optional: Spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom) or vanilla extract 

 

Instructions:

  1. Brew the Tea: Start by boiling 1 cup of water in a small pot. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, remove it from the heat and add your tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea. For a stronger flavor, use two tea bags.
  2. Prepare the Milk: While the tea is steeping, heat 1 cup of milk in a separate pot over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent the milk from scalding. If you prefer a frothy latte, use a frother or whisk to create foam as the milk heats.
  3. Sweeten the Tea: Once your tea has finished steeping, remove the tea bags and add 1-2 tablespoons of your preferred sweetener. Stir until fully dissolved.
  4. Combine and Serve: Pour the sweetened tea into a mug, then slowly add the heated milk. If you’ve frothed the milk, use a spoon to hold back the foam, pouring the liquid first and then topping with the foam.
  5. Optional Add-Ins: For extra flavor, consider adding a dash of cinnamon, nutmeg, or cardamom. A splash of vanilla extract can also enhance the taste of your tea latte. Stir gently to incorporate.
